Are you curious about the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V? To be completely honest, so are we. Although we know that this high-performance version of the iconic Escalade is on its way, we don’t know a whole lot else. Here’s a quick preview of what we know so far.
What is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V?
The Escalade-V is set to be a high-performance version of Cadillac’s full-size luxury SUV. Late in January of 2022, Cadillac released its first photo preview of the upcoming model, revealing an aggressive exterior design.
Although Cadillac hasn’t unleashed any specifics just yet, the Escalade-V is widely expected to feature the same engine found in the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that makes 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. We also expect Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission to be the one driving the wheels.
The Cadillac V-Series
Although the V-Series is new to the Escalade, we already know what it looks like for other Cadillacs. V-Series models feature exclusive styling with an aggressive, wind-blown look.
And these high-performance Cadillacs are also packed with extra performance gear, including a mechanical limited-slip differential, sport-tuned suspension with adaptive dampers, and enhanced traction control. Launch control makes sure the V-Series Cadillacs get off to an astoundingly quick start.
The V-Series Cadillacs also come standard with powertrain upgrades. Some models even offer manual transmissions, a fun-loving feature that has been disappearing from high-performance vehicles in this modern era.
For example, the current CT5-V is a high-performance version of the CT5, and it comes with a stronger powertrain than other CT5 models, as well as front sport seats and a wide range of dynamic performance gear.
During the 2022 model year, Cadillac also rolled out its new V-Series Blackwing models. The CT5-V Blackwing comes with a 668-horsepower supercharged V8, travels at speeds of up to 200 mph, and goes from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
