When you’re shopping for a midsize, three-row luxury SUV, you’ve likely got both the 2022 Cadillac XT6 and INFINITI QX60 on your shortlist. But how will you know which to choose? Our comparison guide is here to help you get down to business.
Premium Luxury: It’s a Tie!
You’ll be impressed with both of these SUV’s cushy cabins. Inside, you’ll find standard panoramic sunroofs and tri-zone automatic climate control. And both the XT6 and QX60 offer the upgrades you crave in a luxury cruiser, from leather upholstery to heated and ventilated front seats. As three-row crossovers, both models seat up to seven passengers because both come standard with second-row captain’s chairs.
More Power: 2022 Cadillac XT6
If you’re looking for a faster ride, the XT6 offers one in the form of its powerful V6 engine. You’ll find it on all but the base Luxury trim model.
- Standard turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine (237 horsepower, 258 lb-ft of torque)
- Optional 3.6L V6 (310 hp, 271 lb-ft)
- Nine-speed automatic transmission
- Front-wheel drive
- Optional all-wheel drive
Although the QX60 doesn’t generate quite as much power, it comes close. INFINITI’s midsize sedan also has a lot in common with its Cadillac counterpart, including a nine-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel drive.
- 3.5L V6 (295 hp, 270 lb-ft)
- Nine-speaker automatic transmission
- Front-wheel drive
- Optional all-wheel drive
Modern Technology: 2022 Cadillac XT6
We also like the Cadillac infotainment technology. Every XT6 is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that speaks to your smartphone via the newly wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An eight-speaker Bose audio system is standard, but you can always upgrade to the 14-speaker version.
The INFINITI QX60 also comes standard with a touchscreen infotainment system. The INFINITI audio upgrade is also a Bose system, but with 17 speakers. However, the QX60 has yet to upgrade to the wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety Aids: 2022 Cadillac XT6
These midsize SUVs have many safety aids in common. For example, both the XT6 and QX60 help you steer clear of danger with blind-spot monitoring and forward collision mitigation. However, the Cadillac XT6 adds to the list of standard features with front pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, and a safety alert seat. Some of these features (lane-keeping assist) are available for the QX60, but some are not (the safety alert seat).
Choose Your Luxury SUV
These three-row luxury SUVs are close competitors, but one stands out a little more. When you drive home in the 2022 Cadillac XT6, you can be sure you’re getting the most luxury SUV for your money.
