Will the Cadillac XT5 change in 2024?
No, the Cadillac XT5 will not change much in 2024, the vehicle is set to be discontinued in 2025. This means that the 2024 model year will continue much the same as the 2023 model year and with little to no changes. Two beautiful paint colors have been added, Emerald Lake Metallic and Midnight Sky Metallic. In addition, a few different appearance packages have also been added. The Blue accent, Bronze accent and Red accent appearance packages have been added as various interior design options. These options are only available on the top tier Sport trim.
What are the Cadillac XT5 Trims?
The first trim in the lineup is the Luxury trim, this trim starts at about $45,300 and has the standard 4 cylinder engine. This trim is not barebones as it is a luxury vehicle, but it does offer just a tiny bit less than the next two trims. The second trim is the Premium Luxury trim, this trim offers more safety features such as lane departure alert, and cross traffic alerts, all starting at around $51,600.
The top tier trim is the Sport trim and is the only trim to come standard with the V6 engine, it offers more sport features and decals with an upgraded grille and interior. This top tier trim starts at around $58,200, and while it offers the better engine, the Premium Luxury has the V6 engine available for about a $1,000 more package.
Why is the Cadillac XT5 being discontinued?
The Cadillac XT5 is being discontinued as Cadillac does its best to become an electric only brand in North America. Cadillac continues to pursue electric vehicles and may phase out many of the other various XT series in favor of other electric vehicles.
This means that we will have to say goodbye to the 235 horsepower 4 cylinder and to the 310 horsepower V6 engines. With the vehicle being replaced, it does not receive a grand swan song, like the Ford GT, or Dodge Charger and Challenger all did. We were hoping that since this would be the last year Cadillac would put more goodies into the XT5 so we could remember it better, but we have mostly what carried over from 2023.
What will replace the Cadillac XT5 in 2025?
The Cadillac XT5 will likely be replaced by the Cadillac Lyriq in 2025. While this is not official by any means, the GM brand is making room for the Cadillac Lyriq much as Ford discontinued some of its crossovers to make room for the Mustang Mach-e. Beyond that Cadillac has stated that they want to be a more green company and are doing their best to put out more EVs and to do this they need to clean out their lineup. So come in soon for your last chance to own this incredible vehicle.
