The 2020 Cadillac CT4 packs high-quality materials and convenience features in an entry-level luxury model. The base Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport models are powered by a 237 hp 2.0-liter engine that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission; and a 2.7-liter engine is optional in the Premium Luxury and standard in the CT4-V. It makes 309-hp in the Premium Luxury and 325-hp in the CT6-V and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It delivers an estimated 23/34 mpg in the city and on the highway. There are four trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, and CT4-V Pricing starts at an affordable $32,995 for this luxury sedan.
The 2020 G70’s standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 252 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 365-horsepower twin-turbocharged 2.2-liter V6 engine is optional. In all models with the optional six-speed manual transmission, the engine makes 255 horsepower. The base engine will give you the best gas mileage. With its power, you’ll get 22/30 mpg in the city and on the highway, and with the twin turbo, you will get 17/26 mpg city and highway. The Genesis offers five models, with a starting price of $35,450. Adding additional luxury packages can boost up the pricing.
Safety and Tech
Cadillac offers plenty of up-to-date driver-assistance and technology features that include available automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. All models come with Cadillac’s latest easy-to-use CUE infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition and steering wheel controls.
The G70 safety features include forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist. An 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, and three USB ports are standard. This infotainment system isn’t so luxurious. It is shared with Genesis’ parent company, Hyundai; and graphics are less than impressive and slow to respond. Also, the screen can be hard to reach from the driver’s seat.
